About us
We started before clean beauty was cool.
Back in 2005, finding clean skincare that actually worked took some digging. "Natural" meant dusty health food store shelves and sad beige jars. So we started Lilou to make it easier.
How it started.
Lilou began with Lisa, our founder, who was tired of creams that promised the world and labels she couldn't pronounce. So she started testing brands, asking questions and keeping only the ones that were worth it. Twenty years later, we still work that way. Some of you have been with us since the beginning (hi, we love you).
