Marie Veronique Everyday Coverage Tinted Sunscreen

Usage:

• For best results, apply over a face oil. Warm it in your palm and smooth on to the skin in a thin layer. Skin should still be slightly damp from oil and no need to wait for layers to dry.
• Should you be between tints, different tints may be mixed in your hand before applying.
• Shake well. Apply liberally to face/neck/chest 15 minutes before sun exposure, applying Protective Day Oil prior is highly recommended.
• Reapply at least every 2 hours. Use a water-resistant sunscreen if swimming or sweating.
• If irritation occurs, discontinue use and consult a physician. Keep in a cool, dry place, out of direct light. Use within 6 months of opening.

Tips for Application: 

Our Everyday Coverage Sunscreen Tinted SPF 30 is formulated with 20% non-nano zinc oxide. It has a very lightweight, matte finish in texture and does not contain any moisturizing properties. It was formulated to go over our Protective Day Oil so using it without oil can feel drying. Apply directly after oil or moisturizer while the skin is still slightly damp, and at least 15 minutes before sun exposure. Shake well. Dispense one pump and warm between palms. Smooth over face/neck/chest, and blend evenly into skin. 

Key Ingredients:

Non-Nano Zinc Oxide - is very photostable and provides broad spectrum sun protection, reflecting UV rays rather than absorbing them.

Red Raspberry Seed Oil - helps prevent sun damage naturally and has the potential to act as a broad-spectrum UV shield due to its high anthocyanin content. Superior anti-inflammatory properties help prevent rashes, eczema and other skin lesions.

Green Tea Infusion - imparts extra sun protection and rejuvenating benefits, thanks to high levels of polyphenols and catechins.

Sea Buckthorn Oil - a carotenoid rich oil that contains more Vitamin C than an orange, more Vitamin A than a carrot, and powerful anti-oxidant super oxide dismutase, which provides protection against free radical damage at the cellular level.

Rosehip Seed Oil - very emollient oil high in Vitamins A, E and natural C and EFAs.

Lilou Notes:

• this product works best over a facial oil; depending on the face cream/lotion and its ingredients it may not spread as well over a cream/lotion (depending on your skin, you may not need to apply it over a facial oil; try without if you'd like)
• this is the BEST natural spf on the market (in our opinion); we've been selling it for almost 20 years and it's still amazing, but....natural spf is not the same as mainstream spf.....
• mainstream (and some 'so-called natural' brands) use chemical spf ingredients plus Nanoparticle technology. The only truly natural spf ingredient is Zinc Oxide but it goes on thick as you likely know.
• In order to get a high spf (like spf 30), most/many companies use nanoparticle zinc (a teeny size) so it goes on so very smooth/easy...but nanoparticles are harmful (and bannedin some countries; not in North American though)
• We don't allow nanoparticles in any of our products(often used in makeup too); the tricky thing is that you will never see 'nanoparticles' on an ingredient list since it's a 'process', not an ingredient - so you have to trust who you're buying from or ask the company if they use it (if they aren't advertising that it's nanoparticle-free, they likely are; most will want to make sure their customers know it's not using them)
• So.....this is a truly natural spf and as such, it takes just a bit more effort to apply than a mainstream one (it goes on beautifully but you do need to take a few seconds to make sure it spreads/absorbs in); in our opinion, sunscreen is one of the number one products that should be natural - so worth it for us!
