John Masters started styling hair just out of high school in 1975 when health risks posed by inhaling and handling harsh salon chemicals were barely a passing concern. Now, using nontoxic bases, John Masters has developed his own line of natural hair care, facial care, and body care products. There is no greater reward for enduring the cold winter months than the prospect of longer days, warmer nights, and less time spent with a snow shovel. Although New York City is not known for much greenery outside of Central Park it truly feels as if each spring nature sprouts in the most unlikely of places.

Spring is not only a time for Mother Earth to add a little color to her palate, but we too can learn from this natural transformation by accenting our own beauty with some natural highlights. A few fine highlights weaved into your hair can make a huge difference. Make sure that the color is only one to two shades lighter than your natural color, and that the colorist takes their time to weave the color and not make it too chunky. In addition to adding a little color to your palate, spring is a great time to let your natural wave or curl come out.
