Lilou Organics was founded by myself, Lisa, and my husband, Brian, shortly after the birth of our daughter, Julia Bree. Having a baby had suddenly made me an avid label-reader, and after realizing that all my name-brand baby products were full of chemicals and carcinogens, I tried to find products that I felt good about using on our little one.

Trying to find products I liked was very frustrating. I found it difficult to figure out which of the organic products were truly natural and which only had a few organic ingredients in them, but still had lots of carcinogens. There was not one place where I could go to and find high quality products, a variety of prices, and an attractive shopping experience (I admit it…I'm a material girl and although environmentally conscious, I still like to buy things in nice-looking stores). What I was looking for was a one-stop-shop for quality organic products, with a variety of price points, and I couldn't find one. So I made one.

My husband is now happy that his little princess only gets the best, and I'm happy that I have access to all my favourite products in one store (and I like to think it looks pretty chic too!).
